General
The reserve is situated on a 3000ha game farm and comprises of over 26 different species of animals and a wide variety of birds. Wildlife at the reserve includes the rare black Impala, Rhino,Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Mountain Zebra and Eland.
Day activities at Botlierskop include luxury 4x4 game drives, adventurous quad biking through indigenous fynbos, rugged mountain terrain and informative bush nature walks through diverse habitats as well as elephant back ride,picnics, horse back Safaris and helicopter flips.
Each of the 19 luxury-tented suites at Botlierskop is elegantly decorated in a romantic colonial theme with 4-poster beds draped with mosquito nets. The en-suite bathrooms are lavishly equipped with deep baths and and stunning views.
The Fireplace restaurant provides guests with authentic South African meals, served in ambient settings.
All tented suites are equipped with a mini bar, telephone, heater, coffee & tea section, and have their own private jetty from which the guests can try their hand at fishing. High raised wooden walkways connect most of the tents to the main lodge. Guests will expereince the personal service of thier own ranger as they get transported to and from their tented suites by boat
Packages Include
One day package: Arrival snacks and drinks, Bush walk, Game drive, Dinner and Breakfast.
Two day package: Arrival snacks and drinks, Bush walk, Game drive, Dinner and Breakfast. On day two the program is the same but you can swap your game drive for a helicopter flight to do shark viewing free of charge.
For any 2 or 3 days stay you can upgrade your lunch to a picnic with the elephants for only R300 per person.
Three day package: Arrival snacks and drinks, Bush walk, Game drive, Dinner and Breakfast. Day three you can swap your game drive for any other activity such as elephant back ride or horseback safari.

Game drives: 3 hour guided game drives in an open vehicle
Helicopter flights: In our Robinson R44 Raven II enjoy shark viewing and scenic flights with an endless choice of destinations.
Elephant back rides: Experience the real African thrill on elephant back for one hour.
Picnic with the elephants: Enjoy a picnic in tranquil settings and relax amongst these extraordinary animals.
Horseback safaris: Saddle up for a horseback safari and escape to the majestic mountain valleys and beautiful fynbos for 2 hours and experience nature like never before.
Bush walk: For those who love the smaller things in life, we also offer guided bush walks with a lot of information and breathtaking scenery

Deluxe rooms: These deluxe tented suites with private wooden decks are situated on the river's edge with stunning views of the river and mountainous surroundings as well as a private jetty from which the guests can try their hand at fishing. Elegantly decorated in colonial style with 4-poster beds and mosquito nets. The rooms have their own private outdoor bush shower as well as an en-suite bathroom with a deep oval bath.
