Buhala is an enchanting Game Lodge right on the banks of the Crocodile
River, the border of the Kruger National Park. What a wonderful waterhole
to have at the bottom of the garden! Elephant, buffalo, hippos and many
antelope are just a few of the frequent visitors there.
Guests sitting on the verandah sipping sundowners or lazing around the pool
have wonderful sightings of these fascinating animals.
Fine food and wines are served on the deck under candlelight and the whole
atmosphere is one of casual elegance and great comfort and tranquility.
Golf at Leopard Creek is one of the privileges of guests at Buhala Game
Lodge and the day safaris into the Kruger nearly always see at least 4 of
the BIG FIVE.
There is a "bush Spa" on an outdoor deck for massages, pedicures, manicures
etc.
Buhala is a marvelous place also, from which to explore the magical bush
veldt, which gives you the realization of true Africa. The Panorama route,
God's Window right to the Blyde River Canyon is a wonderful day trip and
both Swaziland and Mozambique are only an hour away.
Accommodation / General
We have three different types of rooms:
6 x Standard Luxury Rooms – Large rooms with en-suite bathroom, separate shower. Fully air-conditioned, all the necessary linen as well as tea and coffee making facilities. These rooms sleep 2 each and one of them can sleep 4.
2 x Balcony rooms – Large rooms with en-suite bathroom, separate shower. Fully air-conditioned, all the necessary linen as well as tea and coffee making facilities. These rooms have balconies that overlook the Kruger National Park Crocodile River, and they sleep 2 each.
2 x Elephant house garden suites – these are 2 garden suites overlooking the Crocodile River, which share a splash pool. Each has it’s own veranda, and is equipped with a bar fridge and both an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a bath. These rooms also sleep 2 in a room, often used as our honeymoon suites.
We have Internet access, telephones in the rooms as well as a TV room in the main house.
We serve lovely three course meals set under the stars by candlelight and a menu is available for light lunches
