Mothoa Tours and Safaris is a tour operating company. Our core business functions are Tours, Safaris,Transfers, Conventions, Accommodation, Exhibitions, Workshops, Events management,Conferences and Team Building.
The company was established in 1995. Mothoa Tours & Safaris identified a niche in the tourism sector as an alternative through proudly South African government's initiative of diversifying the economic sectors that contribute to the GDP of the country. Mothoa Tours & Safaris was founded by Richard Mekeng Mothoa. A dynamic young black South African entrepreneur, who has strived tirelessly to provide a distinctly professional service. Relieving the memories of 16 June 1976 students protests against the use of Afrikaans language as a medium of instruction in black schools countrywide and the violence that followed thereafter. The mid- eighties era; the period of the "Police State in South Africa" never seen in her history where the police and the army where fully mobilised to uphold apartheid laws under the leadership of South Africa's second last apartheid president P.W Botha. The darkest period of the so- called black on black violence during the late 80's to early 90's between the township residents and the hostel dwellers which nearly plunged the country into civil war and the dawn of democracy and freedom and also the love of my country has inspired and prompted me to share with you this amazingly beautiful story in living memory about South Africa.
