Namaqua Game Lodge is situated 25km South of Springbok along the N7, main route between Cape Town and Namibia. Situated ± 550km from Cape Town, ±40km from Kamieskroon and ±25km from Springbok. The peaceful atmosphere and enticing pool makes this the ideal stopover from and to Namibia.
General
The farm was originally known as Ou Bees and lies on the most Southern part of Mesklip. This mountainous game farm is approximately 5000 hectares big. Our thatched roof homestead is a fully operational Bed & Breakfast with several luxury on-suite bedrooms each with its own private entrance leading from a courtyard. All our rooms are fitted with a fridge as well as morning coffee and tea facilities. Because we try to promote peace and tranquillity we have decided not to install TV's in the rooms but have a satellite TV in the lounge.
Due to no light pollution and natural “darkness” on the farm and surrounding areas, this is the ideal place for any stargazer to drift into the stars. We will pack a pick-nick basket of your choice and supply you with a ground covering to watch the stars.
This is the place to turn your mind off everyday schedules and drift into peacefulness in a crime-free area. Enjoying a sundowner next to the pool, on the mountains, in the valleys while seeing the most extraordinary sights of the setting sun over Namaqualand. We have a swimming pool to cool off in on very hot days. In summer the temperatures can easily rise to 40 degrees Celsius. Namaqualand has a desert like climate and only turns into splendour during spring when the flowers open after winter rains.
