Rose Cottage is ideal for the one night stay over guest looking to break their journey or the guest wanting to spend more than one day and enjoy the activities offered on the Gariep Dam.
Accommodation
Rose Cottage is divided into three establishments, one being a fully equipped luxury home with 2 bedrooms and 2 luxury double sleeper couches that can accommodate up to 8 guests. The second is a fully equipped “Granny Flat” that sleeps 2. The third is the new “Granny Flat” Swallow that sleeps 4.
All rooms have brand new Samsung Air conditioners as well as new luxury “Simonz” beds. Safe undercover parking with a small plunge pool and a stunning braai area. Brand new 8 seater “Lapa” to enjoy Elizabeth’s special “Sunrise breakfast” or in the evening watch the bird feeding while enjoying a “night-cap” or two.
Rose Cottage Hammerkop: Luxury fully equipped self catering 2 bedroom home with large double lounge and Stoep. TV with SABC channels, Hi FI CD and DVD & VCR library. Both rooms have new luxury “Simonz” beds with “ice white” linen. There are also two luxury double sleeper couches in the lounge with the facility to partition them into rooms with hi-tec ceiling curtains. Sleeps up to 8 persons. Separate bathroom and toilet. Full modern kitchen.
Rose Cottage Rooibekkie: Luxury self catering "Granny Flat" with on-suite bathroom and new “Samsung” air conditioner. Private Lapa and braai. Brand new “Simonz” beds and “ice white” linen. Secure undercover Parking. Sleeps 2
Rose Cottage Swallow: This is a self standing “Granny flat” which is able to sleep up to four guests. It has an open plan lounge and Kitchenette that includes a sleeping area with two new “Simonz” beds with a brand new “Samsung” air conditioner.
Activities
Some of the activities include superb fresh water fishing, gliding, and game viewing. Rose Cottage also offers the use of boats and a high powered Jet Ski. Also enjoy a game of tennis, bowl, and put-put or simply laze around one of the two international length swimming pools.
Gariep Dam village has multiple stores and supplies are readily available. The Hotel has a superb restaurant that serve up excellent food at reasonable prices. The “Green Door” Pub & Grub is a well known watering hole for the guest wanting to step out and enjoy a cold one or two. They serve inexpensive bar type meals available till late.
Facilities

• Breakfast (if required) can be arranged with the local manager.
• Guests are met at the Gariep Dam wall or the local Shell Garage and checked into Rose Cottage.
