Climate
· Summer - The temperature varies from 10 degrees at night to 30 degrees C in the heat of the day.
· Winter - the temperature varies from night to day. Daytime temperatures are mild normally about 20 degrees C. Nighttime temperatures are considerably colder dropping to below 10 degrees at times. Temperatures tend to drop just after sunset.
What to take
December to March: Summer Clothes. A warm jacket or jersey for the cooler mornings and evenings.
April to September: Winter Clothes. A very warm insulated Jacket for the cold morning and nights. Hats, scarf and gloves are recommended for the somewhat Windy Winter Periods.
Comfortable walking shoes track shoes or boots are useful for walks up Table Mountain. Sandals are useful for walking around the Peninsula & Waterfront. Shorts and t-shirt needed all year round for the warm midday period.
Swimming costume, sunblock, insect repellent, sun hat, sunglasses and lip balm are recommended
